Guide to the Mass
The Mass is the corporeal participation in an eternal moment of thanksgiving and worship of the Creator. Jesus is received both as Word (Liturgy of the Word) and Sacrament (Liturgy of the Eucharist) in a sensory experience that nourishes body and soul. The Mass is meant to use things of Creation – incense, bells, beauty, bread and wine – to celebrate and participate in the eternal sacrifice that Jesus made for us and in the eternal banquet that He invites us to.
The candle is often used in Catholic settings to denote the light of Christ. The incense used within Mass are frankincense and myrrh, in recognition of the gifts brought to the infant Jesus.

Guide to the Roce
The Roce is a traditional Goan ceremony to bless the Bride and Groom. Friends and family take turns to join in the blessing – with a healthy dousing of coconut milk over the heads of the Bride and Groom. The coconut milk is representative of purity and the end of single lives as they come together as one.
Guide to the Tea Ceremony
The Chinese Tea Ceremony is an opportunity for the Bride and Groom to recognize and show deference to the parents for their sacrifices and love. Both the Bride and Groom serve a cup of tea to each of the parents. Afterwards, the Bride and Groom receive further blessings with hongbao (紅包), red envelopes with money.
